Indian society

Reservation System for education is totally unfair. People dont get what they actually deserve. Because of this the quality of education as well as the output from industries seem to go down.

How did a few of us feel when we lost the opportunity to get into a good engineering college because of the existing education system (based on caste) in Tamil Nadu inspite of having good grades?Didn’t we think it was unfair? Didn’t we want equality? Then how come we accept this system?

I really hope to get answers to these questions sometime in the future. I would really like to see the day when the whole caste system is abolished and everything is based on merit and personal achievements and all of us are considered as fellow humans.

Swetha,

What you wish for is something a lot of people have worked towards right from the 19th century. But,as long as politicians and fundamentalists stay, the system stays unfortunately.

But I really hope it gets eliminated in the near future(during our lifetime).Nothing wrong in being a dreamer right? ;)

Ravi:

U are absolutely right. The vote bank is the sole reason for this reservation system.

Sidharth:

I guess it is in the hands of the politicians. We as fellow citizens dont have any say in the way the government is run. The people who are affected are a minority when compared to the people who are benefited.

Then how come we accept this system?

whether we accept or don't accept, everything's in the hand of the law makers. we've learnt to live with it, and in some cases run away from it.
